Summary

Christianity is said to have reduced the act to the cross. Jesus is described as coming to live under Yhwh's law and fulfill it, crossing from His Father into a world ruled by someone else, with the sacrifice beginning at the decision to come. He loves His enemy by submitting to that law from the inside, not to abolish it, and by executing a contract that transfers people from Yhwh to the Father. The word from the cross, it is finished, is the end of that work.

At the end He commits His spirit to the Father, not to Yhwh. The strain described is staying alive without a breach, since He did not come to show that others could keep that law but to keep it in their place. The people nearest Him still expected Israel's kingdom restored, and they missed plain statements about His death and about the temple. He did not become violent inside a system that had wanted Him dead from childhood.

Deuteronomy 32 is used to say the Most High gave the Hebrews to Yhwh, so the ruler Jesus worshipped was not His Father. In the test He refuses the bribe of the kingdoms and worships anyway. He asks the Father to forgive the people killing Him, and He is said to have loved His own to the end. The unspoken sacrifice is that whole life under a foreign law, and the talk says it shows up once Yhwh is not treated as God.
