The garden
Eden Pt2 - Sunday Jesus Service
If you line up the nachash, Yhwh's response, and what Jesus restores, the restored condition matches the nachash. Yhwh's warning of death that day does not match what happened.
Coming up next Yhwh answers with a curse, exile, and the blocked tree
Summary
While the nachash is present, Adam and Eve remain in Eden with both trees, self-awareness rises, and fear has not started. Immortality here is access to the fruit of the tree of life. Psalm 82 has the elohim dying like humans when that access is lost, and the pair are not cursed yet.
Yhwh then ejects Adam and Eve and cuts off the tree of life. The wording curses the snake, and losing the garden ends their biological immortality. Yhwh said eating would kill them that day, and it did not. The nachash said they would not die, their eyes would open, and they would be like the elohim, knowing good and evil, and the narrator confirms that outcome.
Jesus restores open access, self-awareness, the end of fear, and life, which is the condition the nachash wanted for the humans. If that figure is Satan, Jesus is restoring Satan's aim and identifying with the nachash. Yhwh is the one who put the fruit there, pointed it out, and forbade that tree. The story told about Eden for almost two thousand years is not the one in Genesis, and a longer account is aimed at 2026.
